Mission Child Welfare

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of our company, we donated a total of 100,000 € according to the motto "Mission Kindeswohl". Each of our employees was able to express a wish for a donation to which project of the heart a part of the donation should go. Almost half of the total donation will go to the employees' projects of the heart. The remaining amount will go to other institutions and projects. Around €10,000 went to aid organisations for children in Ukraine.

Tobias & Rainer Mörk, Owner Family

The topic of donations is of great importance to us. Numerous organisations support children and babies in growing up, even in difficult situations. That is why we donate 100,000.00 € to different organisations with whom we want to make the world a better place for children.

The employees' heart projects

Organisation of the month

Every month we focus on a project close to the hearts of our staff. This month: the
Peter Maffay foundation.

The Peter Maffay foundation

Experiencing and using nature as a therapist is the goal in all the facilities of the Peter Maffay Foundation. "We want to give injured souls courage and confidence again. Nature with all its facets is the best therapist for this," says Peter Maffay.

I chose this foundation because I have been involved with it privately and have already donated privately a few times. Peter Maffay is a compatriot whom I want to support and thus also give something back to the country where I was born.

Arthelps

ARTHELPS is an initiative of creative people and artists that helps people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds in a very special way: with art. The various imaginative projects give a stage on which they can discover, get to know and live out their artistic potential. ARTHELPS gives them a voice. Through the exhibitions and the sale of the results, their hopes and fears are brought to the public - and thus make new creative projects possible again.

My heart's project is the organisation Arthelps. Arthelps changes the world with creativity and passion, this organisation gives every child the love they need.

BerTA - Counselling, Meeting Point and Contact Point for Rainbow Families and Pedagogical Professionals in Stuttgart

BerTA - Counselling, Meeting Point and Contact Point is a place for homo- and bisexual, trans* inter* and queer (expectant) parents in Stuttgart. Rainbow families meet here, exchange information and get advice.
Families should be created wherever children are welcome. And if the road is a bit rockier, it is easier to walk with a good counselling service.

German Cancer Aid

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the shock is deep. In Germany, about 2,200 children and adolescents are newly diagnosed with cancer every year (source: Robert Koch Institute, 2021). The positive news is that the chances of curing children with cancer in Germany are very good today - 4 out of 5 children with cancer can be cured.
In hardly any other field of cancer medicine has Germany achieved such good results as in the fight against cancer in children. German Cancer Aid is financed exclusively by donations.
For me, cancer is one of the most serious diseases. I have experienced this in my own personal sphere. Especially in children, cancer is also a burden on siblings and above all on parents.
Every person affected who beats cancer fills me with joy, which is why I am grateful for the work of the German Cancer Aid.

Children and Youth Hospice Stuttgart

Children with a life-shortening illness can temporarily find a second home with their families in a secure and loving atmosphere. In addition to the space for family security, we offer the opportunity for deep understanding and exchange between the families. A competent full-time and voluntary team takes over the care of the sick child and supports the whole family through compassionate accompaniment and counselling.
It is important to support these children and young people and to make their remaining life as beautiful as possible.

Katharinenhöhe Rehabilitation Clinic

Katharinenhöhe is a family-oriented rehabilitation clinic for children and adolescents suffering from cancer and heart disease.
The young patients come from all over Germany for treatment in the Black Forest, in order to receive targeted support here. After diagnosis of the life-threatening disease and drastic acute therapy, the aim is to find their way back into life.
At Katharinenhöhe, it is not only the body that is treated. The focus here is on the physical and emotional recovery of the young patients, their siblings and the entire family.

Africachild

With the help of social workers, the girls receive basic emotional, psychosocial, medical and material care. In addition, they receive educational and training support that strengthens their role as women and mothers and enables them to take care of a small family (household, kitchen, tailoring and hotel business).

German Children's Association

The German Children's Association (Deutscher Kinderverein e.V.) wants to act as a competent guiding voice throughout Germany to bring about a change in awareness in society, but also in the media, politics, youth welfare offices, child protection and the judiciary on the subject of child abuse. As a source of impetus, it takes on the task of acting as a child lobbyist against child abuse.
The suffering of children is omnipresent. Every third day, a child in Germany dies as a result of abuse. Protecting them is our obligation. We must not close our eyes.

Förderkreis krebskranke Kinder e.V. (Support Group for Children with Cancer)

With the blue house, the association offers families of children with cancer a temporary home where parents and siblings can live and recharge their batteries during the treatment of the young patients in the immediate vicinity of the Olgahospital.
The work of the association is important because it is donation-funded and supports both parents and advances cancer research. When a child becomes ill, it is sometimes difficult to still have a good, loving family time. I think it's great that the Blue House offers families here a sheltered home for a time.

Gänseblümchen-Voerde e.V.

Association for the support of children with cancer - All members of Gänseblümchen Voerde e. V. work exclusively on a voluntary basis and do not pursue any self-serving goals, because the shining of children's eyes is the most important benefit for us. Moreover, we are not bound to any clinic and act independently.

With the help of donations, we support cancer research projects in cooperation with renowned doctors and scientists. A central point are our children's and family camps, which give new courage and joy of life.

Due to our own family connections, we ourselves have contact with people affected by this institution. In my youth, I myself had to say goodbye to my best friend with leukaemia when he lost the fight. Therefore, projects that support life with cancer in childhood are a matter close to my heart.

Family hostel Lebensweg

"We give families with seriously ill children a break from everyday life, support and relief by offering short-term residential places for the whole family. They have the opportunity to be together as a whole family, to spend time together as a couple or to devote themselves entirely to their sibling. The sick child is lovingly and professionally cared for during the stay according to the individual needs of the family by our competent and warm-hearted care team."
At reer GmbH, we believe that our responsibility goes far beyond the business world and are proud to support the Familienherberge Lebensweg. This organisation does exceptional work by offering families with seriously ill children not only a break from everyday life, but also an environment in which they can draw strength and experience moments together

Outpatient children and youth hospice service Bad Homburg/Taunus

The outpatient children's and youth hospice service accompanies children, adolescents and young adults with life-shortening or life-threatening illnesses from the moment of diagnosis, during life, during dying and beyond death. Qualified volunteers support the entire family in everyday life. Depending on the wishes of the family, siblings are also accompanied.
I wish that every child and also family members in difficult life situations feel charity and know: you are not alone.

Björn Steiger Foundation

The Björn Steiger Foundation has been working to improve the rescue system for many decades. Not only do we have them to thank for the standardised emergency numbers 110 and 112, emergency call boxes on motorways and air rescue, as early as the 1970s they developed "Felix", an emergency ambulance especially for the needs of premature babies.
The costs for a mobile "intensive care unit" for babies and children are enormous, so a donation is always appreciated.

The SOS Children's Village

All over the world, children need help. Poverty, wars, violence and abuse hit children the hardest. The SOS Children's Villages help by giving abandoned children a loving home again and also strengthen poor families to prevent them from breaking apart. The aim is to give all children safety and security, to support them individually so that they become independent and responsible adults who positively influence their local environment. The projects support a total of more than one million children and adults worldwide.

The Ecumenical Hospice Initiative

... im Landkreis Ludwigsburg e.V. is the provider of the outpatient adult hospice service with adult bereavement support in the city of Ludwigsburg and the outpatient children's and youth hospice service with children's and youth bereavement support in the district of Ludwigsburg.
13 full-time staff and around 150 volunteers accompany and advise seriously ill, dying and grieving children, young people, adults and their relatives. They support and advise caring relatives.

I find it absolutely impressive and important what volunteers do in this association. They accompany and care for the families during what is probably one of the most tragic and stressful periods of their lives.

Plan International

Plan International is an independent development cooperation and humanitarian aid organisation. Girls and boys worldwide should have the same rights and opportunities and actively shape their future. To achieve this, we implement sustainable community development projects in our partner countries efficiently and transparently and respond quickly to emergencies and disasters that threaten children's lives.

(Rainer Mörk)

Children need to grow up in reliable relationships characterised by trust in order to become strong and independent. Since the Kinderschutzbund supports this with many different offers such as play and learning groups, day groups, play rooms or also separation children, I decided to go to this institution.
